Registration and Entry Process:

·         Home Arts Exhibitor Registration Form    The Above PDF file includes 2 COPIES of the form.  Be sure to a.) fill both out identically or b.) fill one out and make a copy.  Be sure to bring two (2) copies with you on registration day.  For more information about the registration form and entry process, see details below.  If you have questions, contact the Fair Office at (703)368-0173.

Obtaining a Registration Form:

o  If you have entered before, one will be sent to you with a fair catalog.

o  If you did not receive a catalog, you can find one at:

·         Your local Prince William County Public Library

·         The Prince William County Fair Office

·         www.pwcfair.com (see above)

Filling Out a Registration Form:

o  Department = one or two digit number

o  Section = letter

o  Class = three, four, or five digit number

o  Description = the exact (or closely abbreviated) description listed in the catalog

o  Exhibit = check “1^st” or “2^nd.”  If you are not sure which to check, see the explanation on the registration form.

o  A correctly filled out form looks like this sample:

Pre-registration:

o  Pre-registration is not required.

o  If you choose to pre-register, mail your form to:

o  Your pre-registration form must be postmarked no later than Friday, July 31, 2009.

o  Make sure that you keep a copy of your form: you will need this when you enter your item(s).

o  If it’s not required, why should I pre-register?

·         It’s faster for you: you can skip certain steps during the entry process.

·         It’s more efficient for us: entering information into our system early expedites our entire process – meaning that the fair runs smoothly and your premiums are ready earlier!

Entry Day Registration:

o  Items not pre-registered may be registered on site the same day you enter them.

o  Registration Forms may be filled out at the Fair however, it will be much easier to have your form(s) completed before you arrive.

o  Forms will be provided if you do not have any.

Entry Process:

o  Upon arriving at the Fairgrounds, find a Registration Booth at one of the main entrances to the Home Arts Aluminum or Block Buildings, see Map.

o  Give your completed form to the booth attendant and he or she will punch it, keep the white copy, and return the additional copy to you for use in entering your item(s).

o  Take your item(s) to the appropriate Department(s).  Your exhibits will be tagged and a claim check given to you.  Keep this ticket: it is required to retrieve your item.

o  After entering, Exhibitor Passes may be purchased in the front of the Block Home Arts Building.
