
Come enjoy the Prince William County Fair's 4th Annual Hershey Cocoa Classic!
Enter your own delicious chocolate confections or just come by the post-judging bake sale to sample some of the best cakes and cookies in Prince William County! All proceeds from the bake sale will go to the Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross . And remember, eating chocolate is guilt-free if it supports a worthy cause!

ADULT CHOCOLATE DESSERT CONTEST RULES: |
|
1.) Open to any individual, 18 years of age and older, who is a Virginia resident. |
|
2.) Entry must be a baked dessert made from “scratch” in a non-returnable baking dish/tray. |
|
3.) A minimum of ¼ cup of Hershey’s Cocoa must be used. |
|
4.) If frosting is used and is chocolate, Hershey’s Cocoa must be used and listed as “Hershey’s Cocoa” in the recipe. |
|
5.) Dessert entry must be submitted on cardboard for judging (no doily required). |
|
6.) Two copies of recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of the page. |

YOUTH COOKIE, BROWNIE, BAR CONTEST RULES: |
|
1.) Open to any individual, 8 to 18 years of age, who is a Virginia resident. One entry per person. |
|
2.) Entry must be cookies, brownies, or bars made from “scratch” in a non-returnable baking dish/tray. |
|
3.) A minimum of ¼ cup of Hershey’s Baking Chips (any variety) must be used and listed as “Hershey’s” with the name of the specific chip variety in the recipe. |
|
4.) If the entry has chocolate icing/drizzle, Hershey’s Cocoa must be used and listed as “Hershey’s Cocoa” in the recipe. |
|
5.) Entry must be submitted as a plate of six on doily-covered cardboard/disposable container. |
|
6.) Two copies of recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of the page. |

Registration will take place Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. Judging* will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Block Building, see Map . All contest participants (with entries) will be admitted at Gate 4 between 2:00 and 2:45 p.m. Samples of entries will be sold in the Block Building.
